Social Media College is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded the Platinum Winner of “Best Blended Learning Model” and Diamond Winner of “Best Certification Training Project” for the Diploma of Social Media Marketing at the 2021 LearnX Awards. The LearnX awards are the premier award event of the year for the education industry.

We can proudly say that our Diploma of Social Media Marketing was also a finalist in the 2021 AITD Excellence Awards for “Best Blended Learning Solutions.” These awards recognise the best and the brightest in learning and development. 

Being nominated for these awards is a true reflection of our team’s incredible work in designing world-class learning experiences for our students. For the past six years, we have been creating innovative online learning strategies to ensure our students gain the essential skills and knowledge they need to establish successful careers in social media.

Social Media College partners with leading Colleges and Universities to deliver our market-leading Diploma of Social Media Marketing. Our Diploma also articulates into a number of university programs. The course is designed for marketers of all levels of experience as the program takes students through all of the key elements of social media marketing, helping students to accelerate their career, expand their network, and immediately apply social media skills to their business.

The LearnX Live Awards

Best Blended Learning Model | Platinum Winner

The 'Best Blended Learning Model' award focuses on a blended learning model in which two or more delivery methods are used to support/advance employee learning and business performance. The DSMM is delivered in face-to-face settings, live virtual classrooms and as an asynchronous online experience by over 35 partner Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). It has integrated social learning in dedicated Facebook or WhatsApp groups and a private Facebook alumni group.

Best Certification Training Project | Diamond Winner

This award focuses specifically on a learning and development (L&D) project that issues a certificate to participants upon satisfactory training/course completion. There have been over 7,000 students enrolled in the Diploma of Social Media Marketing since its launch to market in 2016.

The Judging Criteria

In order to apply for the awards, one must meet a challenging set of standards. These include:

Meeting Business Needs to demonstrate there was a business need that led to our organisation developing a solution. 

Strategic Alignment to the organisational learning strategy and objectives of Social Media College. At SMC, we aim to provide high-class social media education in diverse and accessible formats, with content written by industry experts to create a highly engaging and comprehensive qualification. Our Diploma also provides university articulation.

Design for the Diploma of Social Media Marketing includes face-to-face, virtual classroom and self-paced asynchronous delivery. The asynchronous learning content supports the face-to-face and virtual delivery, and is designed across 6 units. Each unit has up to 9 modules, with a strong emphasis on adult learning principles and social learning.

Delivery through a partner network of the best RTOs within Australia who can choose and blend the delivery modes that best suits their organisation and students. It was decided to develop the Diploma for all delivery modes, as particularly in 2020, face-to-face delivery was often restricted. By providing regular training and professional development opportunities for the trainers, together, we aim to provide the best outcomes for the students.
