TikTok has announced even more quick Promote features within the app to give brands a simplified and more effective way to boost their in-stream content. This will give users more options for promoting content but also allow for a more organic feel when distributing paid content.
Prior to the update, all Promote campaigns could only be optimised for:
- Video views
- Website visits
But now, users will be able to use Promote for:
More profile views – Promote users clicking through to your profile as opposed to your website to generate more views and engagement within the TikTok app.
Generating direct messaging – Start immediate conversations with warm leads by having them start a conversation as soon as they see your ad
Boost other creators’ content – Use Promote to amplify content that is not posted by your account directly. A great feature to easily turbocharge accounts that you are working directly with to promote your business or product.
Location targeting – In what seems like the most obvious update, TikTok has added geo-targeting capabilities to its promote section so you can now ensure you are targeting users in locations that are relevant to your product.
The Promote process is a breeze. It is a simple step-through in the app which will allow you to select your objective and then add a prominent CTA to your ad. It’s the perfect way to double down on what’s working and promote your top organic clips, or even tap into trending content by promoting creator clips.
TikTok’s new Promote feature is also an excellent incentive for brands to create an organic presence and test what works best in the app as opposed to just creating an ad account and paying big money for delivery.
